Female Bettas may be kept in a sorority school but males should live alone as the are highly territorial. Bettas belong to the Gourami family and are found in ponds and rice paddies throughout Southeast Asia.

The are also called Fighter Fish or Siamese Fighting Fish. Pisces Betta Pellets or Micro Pellets are ideal food.
